Droid Explorer and Samsung Galaxy

Oct 3, 2009 at 8:24 AM

Does Droid Explorer work with the Samsung Android phone i7500 Galaxy?

I didn't try it yet because as many Galaxy owners the system (in my case XP SP3) doesn't recognize the phone. There is a problem with the Samsung driver - they told that they are searching for a solution...

Thanks in advance

it should work if the device is rooted and has busybox, and you can connect to the device via ADB.

Could you be so kind and help me to understand how to root the Galaxy, how to activate (or download or install...) the busybox and what is ADB? Sorry, I'm rather bad in linux (but not the same in windows).

THKS in advance

I am sorry, I know little about the galaxy, so I can't help you root it. Google around, I am sure, if it has been rooted, then there are sites telling you how to do it. Once it's rooted, most of the rooted ROMs already contain busybox, so you wouldn't really even have to worry about that. ADB is part of the android SDK, if you download that, it contains the driver for the device.
